For almost 50 years we have built a strong and loyal client base across both the public and private sectors whilst working on the UAE’s iconic projects.
We are looking to recruit experienced Technical/Design Manager in Building (Villa, Low Rise) with following duties:
1. Plan design activities; prepare a comprehensive schedule of all planned drawing submittals based on the project schedule in coordination with Project Team.
2· Verify and ensure the detailed drawing schedule from subcontractor/Supplier’s is in compliance with project drawing schedule.
3· Prepare Project CPI (Critical Pending Item) List and distribute weekly to the engineer/client based on project circulation criteria.
4· Conduct/Attend design workshops to conclude design issues requiring coordination with other trades and subcontractors.
5· Review the technical queries/clarifications from the subcontractor, prepare clarification and raise the relevant queries/clarifications to Client/Consultant. Review the clarifications from the consultant and transmit to all interfacing subcontractors as per the Design Manager’s direction.
6· Assess RFI replies to generate and identify to the QS department where a cost has been incurred by the reply received.
7· Represent the Design Team in project weekly progress meeting to notify the critical design issues currently impacting the project progress.
·8 Assess Shop drawing comments and prepare CVI’s where change has been noted on a shop drawing.
9· Prepare and mange design change in a simple indicative presentation, updating weekly/monthly as necessary. Distribute to project management for information/action.
